Nick McKinless is a director and producer working across film and television, focused on story-driven genre projects that balance physical realism with emotional restraint.

With a background in action design and physical storytelling, Nick brings a strong command of scale, performance, and on-set execution to his directing — using genre as a framework to explore character, behaviour, and consequence rather than spectacle.

He made his feature directorial debut with Take Cover, starring Alice Eve and Scott Adkins, which received critical recognition and went on to achieve strong international streaming performance following a limited theatrical release.

Nick is currently developing and producing original film and television projects, while directing select commercial work. His career includes collaborations with leading filmmakers and performers across the global industry, informing a calm, actor-aware approach to storytelling under pressure.
